Product Malfunction

I found Holly running around with only the velcro straps of her diaper still intact. Not sure what happened, exactly.

Catching Up

My cousin Connor and his wife Jody told us about this gardening method and how it was supposed to do wonders for your fruits and veggies. So, we decided to give it a shot this year. Here's hoping!

The first plant...yellow squash.
Savannah planted her own pumpkins!
Basil, oh sweet basil!
From left to right (back row): cherry tomatoes (2), honeydew (3),
(front row): grape tomatoe (2), cantelope (2), watermelon
Left to right back row: chives (which you can't see), Cilantro, white onions, yellow onions, cucumber, 2 crooked neck squash
Left to right front row: 2 Basil, 2 eggplant, 3 squash
We planted the back box too (no pictures yet), mostly with tomatoes, and strawberries, and of course, zucchini! The wind has really mangled many of the plants so far, so we're not sure how well they will do. We figure, the hardest part (the grow boxes and soil mix) is done, so next year we can focus on wind blocks. =} Keep your fingers crossed!

Mother's Day

More often than not, I get pictures of silly faces from Savannah rather than smiles, but this time she cooperated for one of the pictures...for mother's day. =)

Holly was eating bread in her highchair and being so silly. This is one of the videos I caught of her... (the singing at the end is a line from Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Can you guess which line she's singing?)

Long time no blog

It's been over a month since I blogged last. Our computer got a huge virus and Doug has been backing stuff up onto new hard drives, and I've been taking WAY too much video on my powershot camera and those have taken up a ton of room on our hard drive as well. So, I haven't been able to download any more pictures or videos until recently (good thing my camera has an 8G card and can hold TONS of pics). Anyway, we now have 2 Terabytes of hard drive but the computer still has a virus so Doug will have to wipe out the entire hard drive and reload everything. Not a fun project.
On a more positive note, I just had to take a second and post this picture Savannah just drew. She is such a sweetheart...and quite artistic too!She handed me this picture and said, "I drew a picture of Jesus!" I love her!

NOT HAPPY, BOB! NOT HAPPY!!!

So, my tulips bloomed super late this year due to our cold spring but they finally bloomed today (May 1st)...
...only to have it SNOW on them and have the WIND blow them over. ARG!
Why do I even bother? I'm not liking Utah very much today. Not one bit!

Visitors from Heaven

My Dad and sister and her two kids came to visit last weekend and it was so much fun! We wanted to get the cousins together because they are growing so fast and we don't want too much time to pass in between visits. To see highlights of the weekend go to my sisters blog. Thanks for braving yucky, cold Utah guys!. At least we had a few nice warm days!

Cleaning up is so much fun!

I LOVE her smile in this picture!

Splish-Splash Holly's takin' a bath!

All clean!

Self-feeding BLISS

I left Holly with a bowl of yogurt and a spoon to let her feed herself while I ran to check my email. Five minutes later, Savannah ran into the computer room to tell me that Holly was making a huge mess. I found her covered from head to chin in yogurt. Nice. All I cared was that she was occupied and quiet, and I think some of the yogurt actually made it into her mouth. =)

She did have a spoon, but obviously preferred using her fingers.
