Coming Home!

Jeffrey is finally ready to come home. Daddy came to the hospital to pick us up and he finally felt healthy enough to hold his son for the first time.

Luckily, Jeffrey passed his carseat test so he was able to ride home with us. But, I had to sit in the back with him to hold his head up. I hate when their heads fall forward!

The girls were so excited to have their baby brother home. They each took turns holding him and Holly could hardly contain her excitment. She would just sit at the side of his carseat with her hands clasped and just shake with excitement.

They loved his tiny hands and feet. So sweet.
I for one, am so happy to be home, but will miss having those NICU nurses watch him during his awake hours. I've been spoiled with good nights of sleep the past 5 nights and it's been comforting knowing he's been watched over so well. I've loved the nurses in the NICU and we've had a lot of fun. (Not looking forward to the medical bill, though. =} Good thing we have insurance!) We were sent home with an apnea monitor that he is hooked up to that will go off (it's REALLY loud) if Jeffrey stops breathing. We get to keep it for a month, so that will help me sleep peacefully now that we are at home.
Welcome Home Baby Jeffrey!

We absolutely LOVED our NICU nurses, too, and it was kinda hard to leave them. SOO happy to see that you got to bring him home though! Congratulations! Miss you guys!
The picture of Savannah holding him is so precious. I must be prego or something because I almost cried. Gosh she is one gorgeous girl!!
